MaghribTime is designed to collect as little data as possible. Prayer times are calculated without any personal data.

Your settings

When you choose a calculation method or Asr setting, it is saved in your browser’s local storage so the next page you open uses it. It is never sent to our server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Your location

The “Use my location” button asks your browser for your approximate position only after you click it. The nearest supported city is worked out on your device, and your coordinates are not sent to or stored on our server. Normal use of the site never requires location access.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how the site is used, for example how many people open a city page or change the calculation method. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner.

Until you accept, or if you reject, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode: no analytics or advertising cookies are set, and Google may receive only basic signals without cookies or identifiers (such as that a page was viewed) to produce aggregated statistics. We don’t use Google Analytics data to identify you, and we don’t run ads on the site.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, page requested and browser type) to operate and secure the service.
